How Yes/No markets resolve

The complete resolution rules for Omnibook's 60-second Gold (XAU/USD) markets. Every round follows them, with no exceptions and no discretion.

01The question

Each round asks one question: will the XAU/USD price finish above where it opened, after 60 seconds?

When a round opens, the oracle price at that instant is recorded as the price to beat. Trading runs the full 60 seconds. The close is the time-weighted average (TWAP) of the oracle over the last 10 seconds of the round; then the two are compared.

02Resolution

YesThe close is strictly higher than the price to beat, even by a cent.
NoThe close is lower than or equal to the price to beat. A tie resolves No: the market asks whether Gold rose, and staying put isn't rising.

Resolution is automatic and instant. There is no human judgement, review window or appeal: the two oracle prints are the only inputs.

03The Omnibook oracle

Both prints come from Omnibook's gold oracle: the median of Binance and Bybit perpetual trades, plus Bitget and Hyperliquid perpetual mark prices, each read directly over its own WebSocket. Aggregation reduces dependence on one venue; it does not guarantee immunity to errors or manipulation.

The oracle publishes a fresh price four times a second, and only while at least three of the four feeds meet the configured freshness rules. Publication cadence is not the age of every input: the commodity feeds allow source observations up to 60 seconds old, with a separate collector expiry. The price to beat is the last good median at the open; the close is the TWAP of that same feed over the final 10 seconds (each print holds until the next).

The live oracle price is broadcast over Omnibook's public WebSocket, the same feed the market's chart reads, so anyone can verify every print as it happens.

04Settlement and payouts

Every contract settles at $1.00 or $0.00. When the round closes, winning contracts are credited $1.00 each to your balance at once; losing contracts expire worthless.

For a normally settled round, one Yes contract and one No contract together pay $1. Buy and sell quotes include a spread, so buying both sides can cost more than $1, before fees.

05Orders at the close

Unfilled limit orders are cancelled at the close and their reserved funds returned in full. Orders never roll into the next round.

Trading stays open for the full 60 seconds, settle window included. When the round freezes, resting orders cancel and open positions settle against the TWAP close.

06Voided rounds

A round is voided only if the oracle can't produce a valid print at the open or the close, for example when fewer than three of the four exchange feeds are fresh. In a voided round every trade is unwound: everyone gets back exactly what they paid, and no contract settles. Voided rounds should be extremely rare.

Rules version 1.1, effective July 2026, TWAP close over the last 10s.Back to trading

Trading on Omnibook involves risk and may not be appropriate for everyone. You can lose the full cost of any position, including fees. Season 1 runs on testnet: play credits, not real money.
